What we collect, what we don't, and who handles it · Last updated 3 October 2026
This policy explains how Remi Julien trading as Zome Calculator (ABN 11 953 049 061) handles personal information when you use zomecalculator.com and our tools. The short version: the design tools run in your browser, and we keep very little about you.
Zome Calculator Pro is not on sale yet. Until it is, the parts below about buying, licences, saved designs, photos and PDF plans do not apply, and we collect nothing for them. Right now we only hold the emails of people who join the Pro launch list.
What stays on your device
- Your designs. Saved projects are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. We never receive them.
- Photos and logos you add. They are read by your browser only to show them in the design or print them on your PDF plan. They are not uploaded to us.
- Your PDF plans are generated in your browser and saved to your device.
- Your licence key is stored in your browser so you don't have to enter it every time.
If you clear your browser data, saved designs and your stored key are removed from that device. Keep a copy of your licence key.
What we collect
- When you buy: your email address, the product and amount, and a payment reference. Stripe collects your payment details and may collect your name and billing details. We never see your full card number.
- When you use your licence: technical records needed to check that a key is valid (the key, and when and roughly how often it is checked). We do not receive the contents of your plans.
- When you contact us: your message and email address.
- When you join the Pro launch list: your email address, the date you joined, the wording you agreed to, and the country your connection came from (worked out by Cloudflare from your IP address; we don't keep the IP address itself).
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure. We may use Cloudflare's privacy-focused web analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites, to count visits.
- Fonts: the site currently loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when the page loads.
We do not sell personal information. We do not run advertising or advertising cookies.
Why we use it
To tell you when Pro launches if you asked us to, deliver the product you bought, check your licence, send your receipt and licence key, answer your questions, prevent fraud and abuse, keep the site working, and meet our tax and legal obligations.
Who handles it
- Stripe, which processes payments.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site, stores the Pro launch list, runs our licence checks and forwards emails sent to our support address.
- Google Fonts, as described above.
These providers may store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States and in other countries where they run data centres. We only share what each needs to do its job, and we may disclose information where the law requires it.
Emails we send
If you join the Pro launch list, we email you about Zome Calculator Pro (its launch and offers for it), and nothing else. You can unsubscribe with the link in any of those emails, or by emailing us. We send your receipt and licence key, and messages about your purchase or a support request. We send marketing emails, such as news about updates, only if you have opted in, and every one has an unsubscribe link that works within 5 business days.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase and licence records for as long as your licence is active and then as long as Australian tax and business record-keeping rules require (generally five years). Support emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request. Pro launch list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; after you unsubscribe we keep only a record that you did, so we don't email you again.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
